Sonnet 1

Woe is the love that cannot be all known
Our relationship is that of just friends
But for me, love sprouted, blossomed, was grown
If I expressed my feelings, I'd fear end

Together we'd laugh, good times that were had
Inside, hidden by smile, my heart felt grim
A shoulder to cry on, when things got bad
Tho' I'd be by your side, you'd go to him.

It was I, there, through the trials and the dirt
He took you for granted; yet you went back
I never could say, when I saw, I hurt
Mistreated, this shell is about to crack

I've had enough, but I never did show
How do I tell you, can I let you know?
